How to use WhatsApp without keeping the app on your phone
WhatsApp still demands that it is installed on a smartphone to be used but this doesn’t mean you can’t access your account if you have removed the app from your device as we will show you in this article.
And this tends to limit the storage space for new apps to be installed on your device.
But there’s a way to get around this; you can free up space by uninstalling WhatsApp and still access your chats.
You can be able to delete WhatsApp freely without even compromising on the fact that you can chat like before and retain the chats as well.
In this article, we will show you how to access WhatsApp without keeping the app on your phone.
To do this, you will need the Chrome browser installed on another phone; if you don’t have it already installed, you can get it from Google Play Store.
Open the Chrome browser on your phone and navigate to web.whatsapp.com. The browser will open the mobile version of the website, then turn on the desktop mode by visiting the three-dot menu on the top right corner.
You will now see the desktop version of the website. You will be prompted to scan a QR code to continue with the process. On your primary phone, open WhatsApp settings menu and choose WhatsApp Web. This will open the camera inside the app to scan the QR code.
On an iPhone launch WhatsApp, tap the Settings icon at the bottom left and choose WhatsApp Web/Desktop.
Point your phone’s camera on the QR code being shown on another phone. All your chats will be open after the QR code is accepted in the browser.
Tap on the turn on notification and you will be prompted to allow by tapping on Allow option to receive notifications.
With the above steps, you should be able to access WhatsApp without keeping the app on your phone.
